Comprehensive Training Experience

Our fellowship provides an unparalleled breadth of clinical experiences across the diverse healthcare landscape of the Pacific Northwest. You will train in multiple hospital settings, from our flagship University of Washington Medical Center (the #1 hospital in the state) to our powerhouse of a community hospital, Harborview Medical Center (which is the level 4 trauma center for the entire WWAMI region, and also the hospital upon which Grey’s Anatomy was based), specialty medical centers such as the Fred Hutch Cancer Center, the Seattle VA (a necessary component of well-rounded psychiatric training), and outpatient numerous specialized consultation services. This extensive exposure ensures you develop proficiency across the full spectrum of consultation-liaison work, from acute medical-psychiatric emergencies to complex outpatient collaborative care models.
